PDF to Word conversion, done properly
A useful PDF-to-Word conversion is not a simple file save. The PDF format describes the visual layout of a page; Microsoft Word describes a flowing, editable document. To cross that gap well you need to reconstruct paragraphs, tables, headings and reading order from positioned text fragments — and that is what most online tools quietly skip.
We are building this tool to convert in your browser via WebAssembly, so your sensitive documents never sit on a server. It is taking longer than a wrapper around a remote API would — by design. Sign up below to be told when it lands.
In the meantime
If you need a working PDF-to-Word workflow today, Microsoft Word itself can open PDFs (File → Open → select the PDF). It is not perfect, but it is local. Apple Pages, Google Docs and LibreOffice Writer offer the same path.
